Mr Barr made such a difference to so many children with his talent and enthusiasm for music. I remember him arriving at Speyside High in the 80s transforming the music department from its dour staid formality into a place which encouraged us with fun, creativity to develop, no matter the style. And he would help in any way he could. Such a positive legacy.
